Bike to Work Day

Tomorrow is National Bike to Work Day!

Provided there is no snow/sleet/rain/hail/locusts/rivers of blood in the morning (all are possible around here this time of year), I will be traveling to work by bike. Of course, I bike to work almost every day now - AND YOU SHOULD TOO!

I've biked to work every day for the last two weeks, and intend to continue through summer. :P

He looks better for it, too. Biking the 2 miles to work is the most sun he has seen in years...

Oh I am so there! Every since my bike was fixed, I have been riding it all over the place. In the mornings before work I take a detour, to get the most bike riding time in I can.

It's a good thing that I don't have to go out to the drill site tomorrow. Cause biking there would be an all day endeavor. Involving 32 miles on the highway, and another 20+ miles on dirt, mountainous roads.

Although, now that I think about it, that sounds like a lot of fun.

Hmmm. Bike time tomorrow!

well i would bike to work but two things currently prevent me from doing so. 1) its summer so I dont actually have a job right now (visa limitations and the fact its not long till I head back England way) and 2) someone stole my bike so I don't actually have one. Otherwise I think its a great idea!

Does it help that I walk everywhere?

I'd have to bike through the WyoTech 500...and over the river and through the woods. Sorry...I'd have to start tonight.

um, i don't have a job yet 'cry' and my hand is in a cast. I would otherwise love to bike to work.

Over 50 miles to work - good excuse.
No bike - good excuse.
Hand in a cast - good excuse.
Techer traffic - (sorta) good excuse.

I've ridden my bike to your house and back, Jim - It's not that far. And mine doesn't have all the fancy gears like yours...

:)

I love the bike in the pic... who's the model??

The rider is Gabriel Metcalf, executive director of a San Francisco think tank. He has been riding to work for the last 12 years.

The bike looks like an Electra, but the pic is too small for me to tell...
