I have started about 5 posts before this one. I scrapped all of them because they were shite. Not funny enough, not clever enough, not "Popey" enough...
I have since realized that it might just be my attitude that is shite. I am irritated and sick of waiting around for things to happen. I'm waiting for payday, waiting for badminton tonight, waiting for other people to post, waiting for the results of the last Sociology quiz, waiting to get back my Stats homework, waiting for grad school, waiting for lunch, waiting for Godot, waiting for this president to be gone, waiting for the war in Iraq to be over, waiting for the war in Iran to start, waiting for the Neo-Cons to ruin what is left of this nation, waiting for this day and week and semster and year, to be over.
And what am I looking forward to this weekend? Not much. Badminton is the high point. From there it kind of goes downhill; cleaning cages, laundry, dishes, homework...
SOMEone should be having fun this weekend - tell me in comments about YOUR weekend plans.

So my weekend is actually turning out to be quite eventful! :D Tonight MightMightM and I are headed off to the big city for one of those silly rock concerts that we love so much. Then tomorrow will be spent working and doing homework, but tomorrow night...I have a date! Which I am looking forward to a lot!! And who knows about the rest of the weekend, we shall see where it takes me.
Wish I could report that I was also waiting for Godot, but the truth of the matter is that this weekend entails waiting for the busy to be finished. Complete with a group dinner tonight (any trying to figure out how to get and cut the correct size gutter drains for the ones I botched last night... urm). Then it's Ruhi in the morning, children's classes in the afternoon, and supervising many young children and pumpkins and sharp utensils until around 11pm. Sunday, I fully intend to hop on a bus, visit the metro library, and then pop on the light-rail and maybe ride it as far as it will take me. This last bit might be scraped in lieu of sleeping in...
Hang in there dude. I get the feeling that fast changes are approaching. Perhaps, the kind that are ideal for weekend kite flying?
PS
Hope you enjoy your date, Ms. Squid.
I'll be researching canine acupuncture, chiropractics, and wheelie carts for Reese, Laramie's latest (potentially) bionic puppy. In between, I'll be walking him outside in the yard using gauze or towels as a "butt sling." Parenthood can be SO exciting. ;)
I'm spending the second half of two weekends of training (30 hrs in all) learning how to compassionately listen to people who are living with terminal diseases and loved ones of such.
And making monster cupcakes. And watching Hot Fuzz for the third time in as many days...
tonight I'm going to a roller derby. I'm really excited about it. I hope that there's blood.
Other than that I haven't figured it all out yet. I'm sure that there will be more.
Ben- if you make it on to the light rail, give me a call, maybe I can meet you at Evans and ride the rest of the way to nowhere with you?
A light rail date sounds so classy and metropolitan... I'm jealous, trapped as I am in my backwater diocese... :)
eating! and waiting for guffman. and tomorrow-coney island freakshow. soon after that, whoring myself out for cash.

I'm bored? - lots of cleaning and laundry to get ready for next week's Vacation/Anniversary Week. I like coming home to a very clean house.
I went to the Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday night, so I guess it wasn't all bad...
